Rana Noman Collection at Pakistan Fashion Week London 2013

Fashion presentation by fashion designer Rana Noman gathered accolades at Pakistan Fashion Week London 2013 for bringing such a meticulous and charismatic formal and bridal collection.
Rana Noman Collection at Pakistan Fashion Week London 2013 included formal and wedding dress collection for both men and women. For women, there was a glittery showcase of formal long frocks, long shirts and trousers, traditional lehengas, shararas, saris, and frocks with flared trousers.
For men, there was a range of sherwanis and kurta pajamas which every man will love to wear on his wedding.
Use of soft greys and tones of beige made the entire collection more mesmerizing and then some dresses in sharp colors of navy blue, pink and purple created a good contrast over fabrics like chiffon, jamawar and velvet.
The makeup of fashion models for Rana Noman Show at Pakistan Fashion Week London 2013 was done by Tanya Khan; hair styling was done by Reena Janghard & Sonya. Shahid Malik did the photography and Riwayat Ltd London organized the PFW4.

Pakistan Fashion Week 2013 Designers Waseem Noor & Sara Rohale Asghar

Waseem Noor has been taking part in Pakistan Fashion Week in London presented by Riwayat for the last 2 seasons and is also going to showcase the haute Couture and Bridal collection in the upcoming PFW4 on the 8-9 June.





Pakistan Fashion Week is playing an important part in showcasing the talents of the fashion designer and promoting them. It is getting bigger and better with their experience of the past seasons.
Sara Rohale Asghar

Showcasing her collection Tehzeeb-E-Baymisaal at Pakistan Fashion Week 2013 on June 8-9 2013 is Sara Rohale Asghar. The inspirational comes cultural aspect of Asian (Pakistani) weddings, their colours, ethnicity, customs and traditions. Graduating from College in 2006, Sara started working with the brand MEERAS.

The brand gave Sara an opportunity to work in Paris with the brand in 2007. As she developed her own style and client base, Sarah created her brand with commercial clients in Pakistan. Her collection became available at P.F.D.C (Lahore) and L’atelier (Islamabad) in luxury Pret while she also pursues personal appointments for brides.

Pakistan Fashion Week 2013 Designers Zaheer Abbas & Tasmiyah

Zaheer Abbas debuted his collection in 2010 at FPW2. He is persistently proving his metal as one of country’s finest talent. Recently awarded “best emerging talent in fashion” at the prestigious Lux Style Awards, Zaheer Abbas earned success in the shortest span of time. He has taken his label to the catwalks of Paris, London and USA.

Abbas’s design philosophy has always been ‘simplicity’. Best known for his love for the fabric chiffon, the airy silhouettes and attention to detail sets him apart. Zaheer Abbas is available at the designers, Karachi and Dubai, Collage Dubai and Abu Dhabi and at Onita in London.
Tasmiyah

Exquisite drapery, flowing fabrics, elegant designs and just the right amount of embellishments – Tasmiyah’s design philosophy. Retailing at Tehxeeb (Lahore), Collage (Dubai), Riwaaj (Glasgow), Je Roche (Manchester) and Sadaf Couture (Australia) Tasmiyah’s brand has become an international brand since its establishment in 2006.

While her forte lies in her formal gowns and bridal wear, the designer also caters to the casuals and semi-formals. Tasmiyah is an understated brand best known for the designer’s luxuriously classy gowns, beautiful bridal wear and the use of Swarovski crystals to add the bling factor. The designer’s stance towards design is extremely experimental playing with the female form, at times wrapping it in yards of fabric while at other times keeping the silhouettes simple.

On show at Pakistan Fashion Week 2013 is a Mughal themed digital print collection showcasing basic lines such as Kurtas to more couture pieces as panelled skirts and corsets. The collection is further themed with accessories in velvet, carved metal and semi precious gems.

PFW: Fashion Toupee

It's not very often that toupees can be considered in vogue, but Jean Paul Gaultier, as ever, challenges the norm. When consulting with hairstylist Guido Palau on the look for the show, Jean Paul said he wanted to reference the patchwork in the collection and instinctively toupees came to mind, with mismatched coloured wigs being placed on top of the models' own hair to mirror his designs. "It's not meant to be serious, it's just a bit of fashion fun", Guido explained, relying on Redken's Control Addict 28 for a choppy, blunt texture. Strong and structured brows by make-up artist Lloyd Simmonds also helped to balance out the look with a more boyish charm. Look to model Cara Delevingne, "the brow muse", (pictured here pre-toupee) for the ultimate inspiration.
